Dante Roze is an exciting new vocalist on the Hollywood scene. His tone and phrasing and interpretation of his music set him apart from so many other vocalists out there who just go through the motions of mere emulation of artistry. Roze is one of those artists who doesn't have to do a tune line by line in the studio to get a performance as his takes are crafted from within his natural ability to express and create his visions - not to mention his compelling live performance abilities. Dante transends race, music genre and type-casting with his music because his sound is so current, modern and accessible. Much success is predicted for this young man as he develops his music at CAZADOR Recording with Producer Jimmy Hunter.

Mattias Weisheit / Acoustic Guitar/Vocal Recording (2012)
6/7/12 -- German guitarist eclectic extrordinaire, Mattias Weisheit came to CAZADOR Recording to record an acoustic composition called "The Three-legged Dog And The One-eyed Cat" with producer/engineer Jimmy Hunter. Weisheit, known for (but far from being limited to) his gasoline flaming metal guitar playing with Sledge/Leather, received the free studio time as a promotional prize via the Music Connection Magazine's Friday Freebie contest. Ben Forat / CD Project (2012)
Good buddies for over 25 years, Ben Forat and Jimmy Hunter are back at CAZADOR laying tracks on a batch of Ben's fresh new tunes. With Hunter on drums and keys, Forat's guitars and vocals are a perfect combination for a musical merging with Bob Birch's (Elton John Band) pumping basslines. Ben's sound appears to have genre crossover potential combining rock, dance, and pop sensibilities which hopefully will get him the recognition he has deserved for so long.

This is a "must see" band.

Brett Baker / Working on New CD (2012)
Brett Baker is an amazing singer songwriter as well as a very successful actor. He is currently working on his first song with producer / drummer Jimmy Hunter at CAZADOR. The very unique song, The Man Who Lost His Land is about a white man raised by Native American Indians and has a haunting blusesy spaghetti western vibe which features guitar work from Brian Naughton and bass from Bob Birch on loan from the Elton John band.

Crimson Crout / 6 Song Country Music CD EP (2012)
Producer Jimmy Hunter did drumming sessions for Crimson Crout dating back to the mid 70s. One day-out of the blue-Crimson called CAZADOR Recording for a re-mastering gig of some of his older tunes. The two decided to pursue a handful of this 6 foot 4 stove pipe wearing artist's very catchy and cleverly crafted country tunes. Some tracks were played by John Duva (former guitarist with Edgar Winter) Other feature Paul Warren (guitar/Rod Stewart), Dan Schafer (guitar and pedal steel/Shania Twain), and Bobby Barth (guitar AXE/Blackfoot). This should prove to be a successful endeavor for Crimson, who is a veteran country personality, as he is long overdue for his musical ship to come in.

Ric Lashever / 10 Song CD Project (2012)
Ric Lashever is a Los Angeles long time singer/songwriter who is a root based Americana type artist and plays acoustic guitar on his recordings. Ivy is a brilliant Hollywood prolific songstress. She has recorded over 80 songs at CAZADOR with plans to make rock musicals to each CD. It's only a matter of time now will some record company picks her up and finds what a treasure trove of music Ivy is. Rocway also has much hit activy on Youtube with her videos and this very visual performance artist is currently compiling her concepts into fully realized works from her massive catalog.

Darci Monet / Christmas CD Single (2011)
Finally, Producer Jimmy Hunter got a chance to work with L.A. based session singer, Darci Monet by recording her first ever Christmas single, "Where Are You Christmas?" Money is one of the darling of the torch divas of the San Fernando Valley - well-repected and known for her skills. The two were introduced by a mutual friend, Hillorie McClarty, who is Hunter's Music Connection Magazine ad representative. Hopefully this will be the first of many more Darci Monet recordings to come at CAZADOR Recording.

Ian Ross / Original Single (2011)
After ten years of email / internet networking, Ohio guitarist, Ian Ross has finallly done a recording with producer / drummer Jimmy Hunter at CAZADOR! The recording of Ian's tune, "Baby Baby Baby," came about following a live in-studio jam session between the two... yes some cats still jam - - and can Ian Ross ever jam in that guitar of his! Ross' bandmate Jeffrey Long also came out and dropped piano and organ on the track with bass contribution by Bob Birch (Elton John Band). Hunter has high hopes for Ian and Jeffrey to come out to L.A. to pursue his options as a touring and studio musician.

The Ramblers are one of the hottest new young bands to enter the 2010 L.A. music scene. Guitarist Evan Stanley, son of Kiss axeman Paul Stanley, shows an uncanny prowess of a seasoned bluesman. Jackson White, son of Rick Springfield's original drummer Jack White, also shows an incredible amount of natural talent for a 15 year old. The band recenlty won the battle of the bands at The Buckley School. Combined with the talents of Sam Stone's on point vocals and the skilled guitar playing of Alex Crane, the formula for success on multi musical levels appears eminent. Rather than imitate it, his youthful innocence and exuberance enabled him to "absorb" its essence into his "musical DNA" and ultimately into his signature performance style."

Jamie Palumbo / Distant Star (2005)
Jamie Palumbo has been recording his CDs at Cazador Recording with Jimmy Hunter producing for over a decade. This album of tunes started out as a 17 song project which eventually was tailored down to 14. Palumbo is an exceptional guitarist compared technically to Satriani but not unlike other soul stirring six-string showstopper guitarist/vocalists. Jamie's radio friendly songs have depth, vision and a strong pop appeal. Many people hear the harmonic Beatlesque/Cheap Trick influences but it is his own original and unique chordal approach which blanket his lyrics and melodies in such sweet combination. This appears to be the key to his very modern but seasoned sound. The live "beast-like" drumming of Producer Jimmy Hunter partnered with Elton John bassist Bob Birch adds the Detroit five o' clock shadow to Jamie's Chicago style rockin' roots. Palumbo is sure to get radio airplay from this very skillfully crafted effort mastered by Brad Blackwood. You can sample and buy Jamie Palumbo's, "Distant Star" and his other CDs at the

The Shock Tarts EP (2004)
After six months in the making, The Shock Tarts have released their five song EP to the world. It was mastered in the home of rock and roll, Memphis by Brad Blackwood of Euphonic Masters. Singer Dagger Monday mixed his streety mash of glam rock with Hunter, who influenced the music with the Cazadorian studio technology of today. Contributions also came from from Rod Stewart guitarslinger, Paul Warren and James Morrison on additional strums. This Hollywood rocking machine has big plans to dent its way into one the industry's most radical genres. They break a lot of rules and get away with it in true Rock and Roll definition. Alexis Karim (2004)
Alexis Karim is an exciting West Hollywood actor/model/singer who is now recording his original words and melodies with Hunter's in-studio track compositions. In the style of globally popular current international artists, Alexis' newest music is the perfect demonstration of Hunter's ability to undertand songwriters who don't choose to play their own instruments. At Cazador the artist uses Jimmy to create detailed musically serving tracks that support the artist's vision of their songs which can include Hunter's backing harmony singing and arrangements when needed.

Check out this artist at their myspace site!

Take Down Tomorrow (2004)

In a style similar to Incubus and Hoobastank, the group models its tunes to hit a wide audience as their lyric content is both contemporary and spiritual in nature. While they may add a fourth member later this year, this trio group, with subtle but strong messages include stellar performances from (L-R) drummer Mike Miller, Josh Sawyer, Brian Vargas on bass.

Ether / HARD CORE ROCK (2004)
Hollywood has never been the same since the Hard Core band, Ether, arrived on the scene. Jimmy Hunter produced their new EP which is scheduled for an early 2004 release. This group of Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley) rockers is comprised of vocalist, Ricardo Abrego, Marty Del Castillo on guitar, Ryan Sower on bass, and former drummer Jim Luna.

Now the band along with Kensuke, their new drummer from Japan, can be found in the club scene in and around Los Angeles raising much attention and getting reaction from a whole new legion of fans who have tuned into Ether's spiritual vibration and mystic message. Ricardo's voice hypnotizes his audience as he proceeds to seduce them with this Australian digeridoo and African/Latin/Middle Eastern percussion interludes.

Merged with a mighty wall and mass of sound created by the holy havoc of the trio surrounding him, this battalian of sound force grabs their listeners by the heart by taking them on a sonic journey that leaves no stone on planet earth unturned. It's global, primal, tribal, way raw, soulful and explosive--and the good news is that Hunters recorded vision of them on the CD captures much of the essence of the live sound! You can own the CD, but Ether is a must see for all Hard Core Hollywood clubbers before they hit the concert trail. Check out the current mix of their last tune, Bitter, produced and mixed by Jimmy Hunter at Cazador Recording.

Marcus King/ Soulful Swooner
King / Cazador Production Team (2004)

Marus King is one of Jimmy Hunter's songwriting partners. King is currently cataloging his tunes at Cazador and developing his sound with the aid of former Temptations' sessionman guitarist, Paul Warren, who sweetens the tracks which Jimmy composes to Marcus' melodies and lyrics. King has been interviewed on KJLH and with Hunter, they have the production team of King/Cazador formed and are seeking the various avenues for exploiting their work. A 13 song CD is targeted for finish by the end of summer 2004. This year King has taken over the lead vocal position and added Chuck William to make it a trio mix. But last year Temptation lead vocalist Terry Fortsythe did the first King /Cazdor kick-off tune for the group. The tune "Y?" is a Motownish sonic salute which includes Elton John bassist, Bob Birch and Paul Warren's (the original "Papa Was A Rollin' Stone player) guitar treatment to the track created by King and Hunter's production.

In the style of Pink and some of Amador's other influences, Ryan is currently using Hunter to realize the best of his tunes to a place where his own original sound can emerge and a promising career in the industry should follow.

Niko / Mission Dark (2003-2004)
Niko may well be the great Greek hope of the decade! He is grounded in the American roots of rock but open to the technology of the new millennium that only the more cultured musical Europeans tend to bring to the party. He fearlessly burns grooves that send his fans running for the dance floor to celebrate the life pulse of his throbbing beats and space age vocal gestures. A collector's 'must have' CD, Niko can't lose with this Matrix Man's artful bouquet of musical madness and frenzy. If you like the tones of Jim Morrison and David Bowie, Niko may be just the fresh energy you've been yearning for. Hear Niko at CD Baby CD baby says, "Mission Dark chronicles the dilemma of modern man in today's internet society with too many choices. It is a playful and personal statement that disguises the underlying complexities and underscores the hope in today's love relationships..." Jimmy mixed and mastered for Niko at Cazador.

A few cuts feature Tori Amos' guitarist Steve Caton along with various guitar cameos of some other of Hunter's rockstar "buds." Studio drumming chores are ably shared between Jimmy's drum treatment and the DP Band drummer/collaborator Bob McBride. The David Paris Band is now established in the L.A. scene and prepared for U.S. touring.

Tom Powers / The Open Window (2002)
Pianist Tom Powers and Producer Jimmy Hunter have remained friends since the early '70s when Jimmy played drums in Tom's first solo Detroit area band -- and that tenure shows in their studio rapport. Fans always remark on their unique live chemistry. The Open Window is Power's first solo artist release since his Arista signing with record mogul, Clive Davis. This instrumental piano CD shows Tom's deep sensitivity to every nuance of musical color and texture as only a virtuoso new age artist can pull out of the ethers. Not unlike a male Laura Nyro in stylistic artistry and presence, Power's future CDs may also feature his excellent vocals. Hunter put his polish on this CD and it shows a fine example of Cazador Recording's ProTools CD mastering techiniques. Tom Powers' Musicis his website.

Tim Fleming / Selective Amnesia (2002)
Tim Fleming is the the leader and mentor of this Florida rocker's extreme band. Together Hunter and Fleming developed his sound at Cazador and also remixed older ADAT recordings which they downloaded into Hunter's ProTools rig to blend an ensemble of Fleming's creativity to date. Tim, known for his great selection of instruments which deliver brilliant guitar sounds and hooky song licks, has been challenged with finding the right vocalist to morph with his sonic vision. It is only a matter of time before Fleming's Selective Amnesia will surface with the ultimate missing vocal link and a radio ready self contained rock hit machine will emerge.

Cosmo St. Clair /
Now Blues for Now People (2001)

Ratbone (2001)
This tag team of Iowa rockers, Brado (vocals/guitar) and Jeff Rients (drums) have blended their gifts and cooked up a tastey corn-fed rock chowder of midwestern husky-edged and stalk-twisted rock. Brilliantly peppered by Elton John bassist Bob Birch, Hunter's production showcases Ratbone as an original hard core/arty sound that is worthy of aural sampling. A perfect example of the option for clients from outside California to send previously recorded information (ADAT or other formats) to producer Jimmy Hunter to transfer them to HD ProTools, develop, mix and master. If you'd like to sample/buy this CD, go to the Ratbone Site

Doggie Music by Kozz Kosinski (2001)

Lisa Gold / Between Before and After (2001)
This is a collection of songs by a great L.A. singer/songcrafter. Lisa Gold confirms and defines her collection of creations by realizing and bringing forth her dream in the form of her first CD exposé. Nearly a year in careful production, the staff musicians at Cazador proudly put their love into her songs. This debut CD was not finished but a month before publishing houses from Los Angeles to Nashville were courting her and seriously targeted on the title cut. Elton John bassist Bob Birch shines on this pop venture. Paul Warren (Rod Stewart) on guitar as usual takes no prisoners.

Eddie Walker / Then and Now (2001)
Eddie is the bees knees of 60's era Los Angeles jazz singers. He has a stable of friends who also showed up to sing tributes to him and join him on his 70th birthday party double CD. Producer/drummer Jimmy Hunter recorded it live to two track DAT and mixed it on ProTools back at Cazador. Bassist Jesse Stern and pianist Tom Tonyon were there to provide host Eddie a magnificent backup for his celebration.

Jeffrey Michaels / Endless Road (2000)
This Native American singer-songwriter made his first solo effort under Jimmy Hunter's production. The two spent nearly a year in the studio perfecting this project using top Cazadorstaff musicians including Jeffrey's harp legend buddy, Louie Lista, on harmonica. Michaels is from rural Pennsylvania and has a heartland sound coupled with some sultry Elvis swampy tones. Originally a big haired spandex-shreakin'-screamin' metal maniac and full time road warrior, Jeffrey shows a previously hidden more song-sensitive prowess and earthier tones on this, his first major solo effort.
Jeffrey's Site and his myspace.com site is HERE.

Kris Lamans / Diamond For My Lady (2000)
Few soul singers have had the blessing to have had the career Kris Lamans has had. For many years, he was the golden tenor voice with the world famous Platters. Today he is a TV show host and producer in his own right with his own show on his own Focen Network. Paul Warren, former Grammy winning Temptations guitarist and long time bandmate of producer Jimmy Hunter, put on the funky textures that have made him famous. Kris put his back in the day appproach with his open mind to new grooves and attitudes and gets himself a winning combination with Jimmy at Cazador.

Understanding Principles for Better Living Choir 2000
"Love Concert" Live At Culver City Auditorium

Jimmy Hunter produced Della's Reese's tape and CD ministry for the entire year of 2000. As a church member, Hunter has attended church every Sunday for many years and was thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on staff. "UP" church is currently held at the Hotel Belage in West Hollywood, CA (Sunset Blvd and San Vicente) in the Grand Salon Ballroom.

The Rev. Della Reese Lett.

Jimmy participates in his church family and has access to use the choir members as singers and church band musicians in his studio when needed. Hunter produced two other guided meditation CDs which included David Scott's guitar compositions featuring the Rev. Dr. Charles O. Brown in addition to 52 weekly CDs of the spiritual lessons of Della Reese and her assistant minister, William Hubbard Knight.

Jimmy and former Patti LaBelle / GQ Drummer Elgin McNeal

Jaxx High / Diseased (2000)
Guitarist/vocalist John Dibattista III and Matt Hanna (bass) were a drummerless alternative rock power trio who came to Jimmy Hunter for his drumming and production assistance in realizing their hard edged music. The result was the Diseased CD. The three put together a deadly sound with screams and moans in the deep background of the track that sound like hell being visited. The music has simplicity yet some subliminal ear candy that is hard to put a finger on why it sounds so dangerous.

Mark R. Kent / Favoritos Tangos Romanticos (by Brazilian Composer Ernesto Nazareth)(1999)
Every song on this CD is over 80 years old. Mark Kent is an old soul who has taken the tangos of Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth to a new and more modern level of salutation. Kent, a Detroit high school chum of producer Jimmy Hunter, came out from Mobile, AL to record his dream CD at Cazador. Piano driven with some overdubbing on his trusty Taylor acoustic guitar, this versatile veteran Mobile minstrel showcases the passion of these great Latin melodies from Nazareth, the undisputed Brazilian King of Tango. Hunter's production and drumming is the perfect partner for Kent, as he includes latin percussion and castanet flavorings previously unexplored at Cazador. The eclectic and unpredictable Mark R.'s next effort -- now in near completion -- is a compilation of Olde English sailing songs.

Bar Mitzvah by Bobbo Staron (2000)
This is the third CD from artist Bobbo Staron under Jimmy Hunter's production. You will hear a matured artist laying lyrics to his unique song treatments with an all-acoustic band so vibrantly inspired that they sound plugged in! Denny Croy's string bass playing anchors the intermingling blusey riffs of Paul Warren's (Rod Stewart) lead guitar and the swampy dobro slides of Fred Sokolo with occasional banjo thrown knee deep in between Jimmy Hunter's big beats. Bobbo's fresh batch of tunes was showcased around the L.A. live venues to happy listeners with this crew.

Bobbo Staron /My Name is Robert (1999)
In his second CD, Bobbo Staron reveals himself with his well suited collection of fresh original material. A bit tougher than "Mary Sightings", his first solo studio effort, a confidently postured Staron sings his views of the world through the many textured feels of his acoustic music arena. Enhanced with Lance Morrison's (Alanis Morrisette) bass sensibilities, Paul Warren and Jimmy Hunter provide and bring an almost Kinks-like vibe to this un-plugged meeting of souls as Bobbo's vocals and strums share his experience, strength, and hope with the world.

Mary Sightings by Bobbo Staron (1998)
Robert "Bobbo" Staron makes a dramatic solo debut utilizing the alliance and fellowship of his drummer friend and producer, Jimmy Hunter. The CD's cover is a freak shot of Staron's guitar cables, floor rug and speaker which reveal a momentary out of the shutter glimpse experience of Mother Mary--the Madonna herself--captured on photo film!

Bobbo and Jimmy in the studio.

This inspired collection of tunes, carefully recorded in a sequencial divine order, shows Bobbo Staron as a gifted Dylan-like talent who is ready to break right on through to the other side. All acoustic-except for Lance Morrison's (Alanis Morrisette) bass-the band converses through Staron's renderings with a dedicated reverence as painful bends of bluesman Paul Warren's (Rod Stewart) lead guitar tastefully highlight Bobbo's original style of singing. Indeed, a man with plenty to say, Bobbo Staron sings straight from the heart from the CDs desolate opening to its closing spiritual message taking his listeners through a wide range of emotional possiblities.

Sleeping With Dr. Alias / Dr. Gary Alias (1997-98)
This prolific songwriter is the most unpredictable of all of the talented clients Jimmy Hunter has produced. Gary "Alias" Abrams is a real doctor--a psychologist and a rather maverick one at that. You will hear it in his music.

This multi song project is a combination music CD and psychological intsructional learning tool. Aided by years of the best guitarists in the Cazador stable, Dr. Alias and Hunter have done over 40 songs over the years and like the Ever-Ready bunny--still going . . .

Most of Alias'songs start with humorous vignette-type skits which rope the listener into the topic of the moment, then Alias hits them where it counts--their subconscious! His product has multiple marketing strategies and make for very good listening to a wide range of fans.

The Mommies -- Caryl & Marilyn (1998)
The Mommies aka Caryl Kristensen and Marilyn Kentz are known for their ABC talk show and Palmolive Commercial and weight loss infomercials on TV. They also do stand up comedy and came to Jimmy in 1998 to record several parady type song arrangements under his production including their single release "Livin' On A Culdesac". During that time Hunter also mastered their "Mommies LIVE!" CD from ADAT pre-recorded tapes.

Mystic Dancer / Ruby Cassidy (1998)
Exotic rock diva Ruby Cassidy lives up to here CD title "The Mystic Dancer" with songs co-written with Dan Snellenbarger and a little help from Jimmy on lyrics and melod. Cassidy made her first effort a good one under the umbrella of Jimmy's production. The CD features the guitar artistry of Steve Caton from the Tori Amos camp and Bob Birch from the Elton John band on bass. Somehow, due to contractual disagreements, Jimmy's name was omitted from the recording. The name "Mystic Renegade" seems to be there instead. The production style clearly is Cazadorian. As Jimmy confesses, "ya can't win 'em all!"

Ghosts Of the Open Road (1997)
Architect by day--bluesman by night, Craig Jamison built this CD on raw Route 66 bluespower. Teamed with a most able drummer, Bill Lawrence, the two long-time bandmates put together a fine CD of smokin' jams that feature Jamison's vintage guitar tones and his desert lonely road lyrics. Bob Birch (Elton John) delivered his classic bass feel with producer Jimmy Hunter and Penny Wanzo adding their Cazador male/female stacked background vocals.

In Chantment / Wayne Perry (1996)
Wayne is one of the most unique of all recording artists to grace the iron doors of Cazador. He is a spiritual tone healer-that is-he uses his voices as a healing tool and instructs others how they can do the same. His CD is full of concepts and compositions he does with his voice and by multi-track overdubbing he creates a virtual symphony of sound both soley and soulfully with his voice. He gets an incredible tone and it is unbelievable that only human voice sound was used, but it is true. In a few instances, Jimmy sampled various tones of Perry's voice and composed a few of the outside jazzy cuts as sort of a "writer for hire." Wayne Perry tours the country as a lecturer on spiritual tone healing and holds classes in Los Angeles on the subject when he is in town.

Greg Ginn - Let It Burn Because I Don't Live There Anymore(1994)
Hunter did drum programming for this CD with assistance from punk rocker Eric Blitz. This was the first CD that Ginn came to Hunter for various drumming chores over the course of his solo career after leaving the famed Black Flag punk rock group.
